Dec 30, 2015 I finally noticed that the IDE ATA/ATAPI controller ( which is an Intel (R) 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family 6 Port SATA AHCI Controller - 10C02) is not starting up. I figured it was an old driver, but it says it has the most recent driver when I tried that. May 13, 2016 Go to device manager and uninstall the IDE controller. (Name of the IDE controller will vary slightly based on your iMac or MBP model) It will ask you to reboot Windows for changes to take effect. But we are not going to reboot Windows yet. There is a reg file called AHCI.Detection.Reset (Inside AHCI Mode Enabler folder).
